The Pastor of Great House Assembly Minna and Convener of Vessels of Gold, Pastor Bisi Jeremiah has explained that the increasing volume of divorce in the country is caused by lack of understanding by women and their spouses that it is God that brought them together in order to preserve family values.

Pastor Jeremiah stated this at the Women Convention organised by the Vessels of Gold (VOG) in Minna at the weekend.

She said, ” there is an increase in the volume of divorce generally in Nigeria now. One of the things that I have been able to pinpoint out is that most women and their spouses don’t understand that preservation is what brings them together. God brought them together to be able to preserve family values “.

The clergy woman made it clear that rising volume of divorce is not necessarily due to the economic hardship in the country but the inability of spouses to understand that God is family oriented and cannot start a family onlybto end it in divorce.

” So it is their impatient and lack of understanding that they are brought together to preserve family values so that they can be able to extend it to the next generation. That is what we are out to achieve in this convention with the theme, ” Preserved”.

According to her, many married women erroneously believe that their husbands are their problems without knowing that is them not their husbands adding that they do not understand who they are and that is why they cannot function in the capacity that God has called them to be in their home.

She said, “we are able to inspire many ladies/ women to know that it is first of all what God has called them to do. It is about their purpose, identity before the issue of marriage”, adding that in this event we intend to make women see clearly that there is a purpose why God created them.

Also speaking, the Guest Speaker at the occasion, Pastor Mrs Comfort Adesoye of Light House Ministry Abuja admonished women to locate the purpose of God in their lives while working hard for greater achievements in support of their husbands.

She commended the Convener of Vessels of Gold, Pastor Bisi Jeremiah for building the capacity of women in Niger state including their spiritual growth.
