Emir of Minna honours Niger PDP stalwart, Saba with “Baiwan Minna” title

The Emir of Minna, Alhaji Umar Farouk Bahago, has honoured a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart in Niger state, Alhaji Hassan Mohammed Saba with the traditional title of Baiwan Minna.
NEXTER reports that Alhaji Saba was a one time Publicity Secretary of the PDP in Niger state and prominent Minna indigene.
The emir noted that Alhaji Saba was honoured for his leadership quality which has impacted positive on the emirate and Minna town in general.
A letter announcing the appointment of the PDP bigwig was signed by the secretary to the Minna Emirate Council, and Magajin Garin Minna, Alhaji Garba Musa Kuta.
According to the letter, the appointment takes effect from November 22, 2024.
In the letter, the emir described the appointment of Saba as the Baiwan Minna as deserving even as he congratulated him for so recorgnised.
He urged the new Baiwa to actively participate in the activities of the emirate council as well as community development programmes of the town in general.
Meanwhile the thank you visit to the emir by the newly appointed Baiwa and his well wishers has been slated for Saturday 28 December 2024 by 2.30pm.
