Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger state has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for signing into law the bill establishing the North Central Development Commission (NCDC).

The Governor in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim on Thursday commended the President for the milestone achievement.

He said, ” the establishment of the NCDC is indeed crucial and a milestone achievement that would drive sustainable rural development in the region, Niger State inclusive”.

According to him, “the action of the President is another demonstration and a testament that he is indeed a leader who has the concern of all and is interested in the overall growth and development of the Country”.

Bago observes that the establishment of the NCDC, aimed at addressing various pressing challenges including infrastructure, security and economic empowerment, would no doubt make lasting positive impact .

While expressing optimism that the NCDC would achieve its objective, the farmer Governor calls for collaboration from all and sundry from the region to ensure that the Commission effectively and efficiently implement its mandate.

He also enjoins the people of the region to continue to support policies and programmes of the Tinubu-led Federal Government, as they are geared towards the socio-economic development of the people.

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, had earlier announced the signing of the bill for the establishment of the NCDC by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
