Engineers from the Niger State Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) have repaired and reactivated the radio transmitter which broke down and was abandoned five years ago

The General Manager of the Corporation, Mohammed Kolo stated this while receiving in audience the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Niger State Council, Comrade Abu Nmodu in his office at Radio House Minna
He said, ” one of our major achievements is the repair, reactivation and installation of a transmitter which had broken down five years ago and affected the outreach of the Radio Niger transmission. I am happy to inform you that with the repair of the transmitter, we have regained our signals in all parts of the state “.
The Managing Director explained that the management of the station decided to engage the Corporation’s own team of experienced engineers through direct labour, adding that, “this has saved huge amount of money “.
According to him, ” Radio Niger has now been repositioned to serve the people of the state better than before and to also  provide adequate publicity on government programmes and policies. I therefore appeal to the Union to synergise with us in this regard “
