The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, says it will on Saturday publish the personal particulars of candidates nominated for the 2027 Presidential, Senate and House of Representatives elections for public inspection.

The Commission says the publication of Form EC9 is in line with the Electoral Act and the timetable for the 2027 General Election.

According to INEC, the forms contain candidates’ affidavits, educational qualifications and other personal particulars submitted by political parties, and will be displayed at all INEC state offices and constituency offices nationwide.

The Commission, however, clarifies that the publication does not constitute the final list of candidates, as political parties still have until August 22, 2026 to withdraw or replace their nominees in accordance with the Electoral Act.

INEC says the final list of nominated Presidential and National Assembly candidates will be published on September 12, 2026.
