The Farmer Governor stated this Thursday in Agwara Local Government Area while on a project monitoring tour.

He said, ” when constructed, the bridge will ease movement of people and goods as well as boost socio-economic activities”, adding that in the interim, ferries will be provided to riverine communities in the area.

He advised the people to always use life jackets and avoid overloading.

The Farmer Governor explained that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is interested in developing Agwara, Borgu and Babanna communities adding that the Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway will pass through the communities.

According to him, “discussion is ongoing between the Federal Government, Niger, and all other states sharing border with Benin Republic for the establishment of a free zone for goods to be transported by rail through Lagos-Babanna-Cotonou”.

While inspecting the ongoing 93 km Rofia-Lumma-Borgu Federal road reconstruction at the instance of the State government, farmer Governor Umaru Bago said the project will no doubt bring succour to the people and communities
