The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has elected Comrade Eshiafune Paul Oghayan (aka ShopRite) as the new National President of Association in Minna.

Addressing a press conference on Monday, Comrade Oghayan promised to deliver on the mandate given to them by members of the association.

He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his immeasurable support to Nigeria students especially on their welfare.

Nigeria students I urge you all to believe in the “RENEWED HOPE AGENDA” of President Tinubu for his commitment to students welfare and wellbeing as demonstrated by his students loan scheme policy and the distribution of CNG buses in tertiary institutions”.

He extended hands of fellowship to the contestants who lost in the election adding that, ” consequently I call on all those who contested with us but did not win to join us in giving NAPS a beautiful new beginning”.

Oghayan however warned that he wouldn’t tolerate attempt to create parallel government within the association.

He said, “we promised to deliver well on the mandate given to us and to protect the mandate with honour and dignity. We shall develop ideas that will create conducive learning and living conditions on campus and comfortable in line with international best standard”.

According to him, there’s no doubt that the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration is committed to making Nigeria a conducive atmosphere for living

He assured polytechnic students across the country that the leadership shall present their needs before relevant authorities for solution, adding that, “for students and unions that have been Victimized, Expelled, truncated or dissolved. I assure you that it is a new dawn, so tell those responsible that we are coming and it is not going to be business as usual”.
