    2025 Sports Festival: Handsome rewards await Niger Medalists – BFN Chair

    The Niger State Chairman of the Badminton Federation of Nigeria (BFN), Alhaji Mohammed Nma Kolo has described his team’s  medals haul at the National Sports Festival in Ogun State as heartwarming, unprecedented in the history of the state while promising to handsomely reward the team for their outstanding performance with 10 Medals
    The Chairman stated this in a commendation message issued in Minna on Friday to the Badminton team and the entire Niger state contingent to the Sports Festival.
    He said that preparations to give rousing welcome to the Niger state contingent has begun adding that, “I give kudos to the Badminton team for hauling home three medals- one Gold, one Silver and one Bronze. This is very heartwarming and unprecedented in the history of Niger State “.
    “We are going to organise a befitting reception for the contingent during which we will make public their rewards. I thank the team, the coaches and the medalists for making the state proud “, he said.
    Nma kolo who is also the Special Adviser to the Niger State Governor on Politics and Strategy expressed profound appreciation to the Government of Niger state for its support and commitment to the development of Sports in the state while calling on private individuals for meaningful contributions in the uplifting of sports in the state with continued investment.
    He attributed the impressive performance of the Badminton team to early preparations and rigorous training adding that, “we have also embarked on grassroots level Badminton development to catch young players and train them to become professionals”.
    The National Sports Festival Gateway Games Ogun 2025 medals table showed that Niger  state won 10 medals in these categories.

    1 Bronze Medal – Group event

    2 Silver Medals

    1 Silver Medal
    1 Bronze Medal
