As Governor Abdullahi A. Sule, the Engineer of morden Nasarawa approaches his sixth year in office, having been first sworn in on May 29, 2019, re-elected for a second term and sworn in on May 29, 2023, it is an opportune moment to reflect on the remarkable transformation taking place across Nasarawa State under his leadership.
In less than three weeks, we will be marking six years of committed, focused, and progressive governance. This is not just a time for celebration, but also a time to reaffirm our collective commitment to the future of our dear state.
Governor Sule’s administration has laid a solid foundation across all sectors of the economy—security, education, health, infrastructure, agriculture, industrialization, youth and women empowerment, digital economy, and civil service reforms. From initiating the construction of critical roads, boosting agricultural production through mechanization and farmer support schemes, to attracting private sector investments in solid minerals and industrial development zones, his vision for a prosperous Nasarawa is taking shape.
Under his stewardship, Nasarawa State has enjoyed relative peace and security, thanks to a proactive approach to security management, collaboration with federal security agencies, and community-based strategies. The state has become an investment destination, with the Nasarawa Investment and Development Agency (NASIDA) recording milestones in ease of doing business, while our education sector has seen the establishment and upgrade of schools and tertiary institutions with a strong emphasis on technical and vocational education.
The health sector has also witnessed significant transformation with the construction and renovation of healthcare facilities, improved access to primary healthcare, and the launch of the Nasarawa State Health Insurance Scheme. The administration has equally prioritized the welfare of workers, pensioners, and civil servants by implementing reforms that enhance transparency, accountability, and prompt payment of salaries and entitlements.
With two years remaining in his final term, it is imperative that Governor Sule receives the continuous unwavering support of every citizen of Nasarawa State. Now is the time to deepen our unity, amplify our development efforts, and allow the administration to consolidate on the gains made so far. The foundations are already laid—what we need now is continuity, cooperation, and a shared resolve to complete the transformational journey.
I, therefore, call on all traditional leaders, political stakeholders, youth and women groups, civil servants, and the entire people of Nasarawa State to rally behind the Governor. Let us rise above partisan interests and personal differences and place Nasarawa first. These remaining two years are crucial, and with our collective support, we can achieve even more and position our state as a model of good governance in Nigeria.
Let history remember us as the generation that stood firm behind a visionary leader when it mattered the most. Governor Abdullahi A. Sule has delivered—and with our renewed support, he will do even more. The future of Nasarawa is bright, and together, we can take it to even greater heights.
