    ANALYSIS
Gov. Bago Commences Commissioning of 5km Road Projects in Fulfillment of Promises
    By Abdullberqy Usman Ebbo
*Progress is on the move in Niger State, one community at a time.
In fulfillment of his promises to various communities the governor Mohammed Umar Bago-led administration has once again delivered on its promise of transforming infrastructure, with the inauguration of a 5-kilometer modern township road in Sarkin Pawa, Munya Local Government Area of the state
This road, part of the 556km state-wide construction plan already in motion, stands as a shining example of the Farmer Governor’s determination to connect communities, open markets, and improve daily life for Nigerlites especially in the rural areas.
Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, fondly called the Farmer Governor, has made infrastructure the heartbeat of his administration.
The governor during his ongoing tour of the local governments in the state noted that his target was increased to about 1,000 km in order to capture other communities with deplorable road challenges.
Governor Bago at the event also performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the 40km Mararraban Dan Daudu-Kuta road, while recalling that on assumption of office, the Governor had planned to construct 556 km of roads across the state.
According to him, “This road is more than asphalt—it’s a bridge to opportunity for our farmers, traders, and future generations,” he assured Munya residents that more dividends of democracy are on their way.
He also urged them to unite behind the APC in the upcoming State Assembly by-election, promising that sustained political support means even faster development.
Governor Bago however praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Security Adviser, and security agencies for restoring peace to Munya, allowing socio-economic activities to flourish once again.
He also commended Senator Mohammed Sani Musa for his complementary projects that align with the New Niger Agenda.
    *Stakeholders Applaud the Transformation
Deputy Governor Comrade Yakubu Garba reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to uplifting Munya’s standard of living and assured the community of the government’s commitment to improving security and development, while he appreciates the Governor for the road project and other numerous projects embarked on in the Niger East Zonal district.
The Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, 313, representing Niger East Senatorial District, applauded the Governor’s efforts, saying that in the history of the town and Niger State, no such development has been witnessed in the area.
Senator Musa added that with over 1,000 km of roads being constricted as a vital boost for the farming community under the present administration, Governor Bago deserves commendation and another term in office for continuity of the development of the entire state.
Several residents of Munya in an interview expressed gratitude to the Governor for both the road construction and the enhanced security. They noted that this is the first time since the insecurity began that they have felt safe, with farmers now able to return to their farmland for a safe farm activities.
The Speaker of the State House of Assembly to community leaders and the Emir of Minna, voices across the state celebrated this achievement, pledging continued support for Governor Bago’s visionary leadership.
*More Roads. More Growth. More New Niger.
The Sarkin Pawa township road is just one of many completed projects set for commissioning. With each new road, Niger State moves closer to an era where every community is connected, commerce flows freely, and opportunities multiply.
Under the leadership of Farmer Governor Umaru Bago, the future is not just promised, it’s being built, one kilometer at a time, just as the contractor representatives assured residents of the project’s top-tier quality.
