Development advocate and All Progresses Congress (APC) governorship aspirant for Yobe state in the coming 2027 general elections, Kashim Musa Tumsah MFR, has completed the full JAMB 2026 examination registration of over 500 students drawn from the state.

This is in fulfilment of the routine annual sponsorship of eligible students preparing for the examination initiated and executed by KMT JAMB Sponsorship Programme that has been running over the years.

Under the scheme, eligible students, mostly from poor backgrounds, are randomly selected from each of the 178 wards across the 17 local government areas of the state with their JAMB fees are fully paid.

The programme, which is aimed at boosting standard of education in Yobe state gives equal treatment and opportunities for both male and female students but with more emphasis on female, who usually stagnate after their secondary school education due to various reasons such as poverty.

After payment of the JAMB fees, the benefiting students then undergo rigorous training also under the KMT intervention at designated centres convenient to the students so that they are thoroughly prepared for the examination.
