    Niger, N-HYPPADEC partners on enhancing community healthcare  delivery services

    The National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC) has initiated a partnership with the Niger State government for a better medical outreach and enhanced community health care delivery services.
    This was made known in a meeting between the Managing Director of the National-Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC) Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa and the Niger State commissioner for Health, Dr.  Murtala Bagana in Minna.
    The N-HYPPADEC Managing Director explained that the commission is highly committed towards ensuring the success of the collaboration with the Niger State ministry of health in improving the status of health in Niger state.

    According to him, ” the commission appreciates the initiative initiative for better medical outreach in the State. We are therefore prepared to collaborate with the ministry in improving healthcare services in the state”.
    He said, ” health services has been a major component of the commission’s responsibilities to host communities because of health privelence in those areas.  This partnership with the state government would go a long way in bringing healthcare services to the door steps of our people “.
    Also speaking, the Niger state Commissioner for Health, Dr Murtala Bagana said the ministry is looking forward towards building stronger ties and collaboration with N-HYPPADEC for improved  health system in the state.
    He listed some benefits drivable from the partnership to include proper coordination and governance, improved supply chain, planning and service delivery performance, increased community trust, health awareness and service uptake.

    He said, ” our vision is to reposition the ministry as a beacon of efficiency, integrity and innovation in health service delivery through a strategic and ambitious six point agenda called THRIVE. We appreciate N-HYPPADEC’s  collaborative support on the implementation of Niger state integrated medical outreach and its efforts to bridge the gaps around health service usage”.
