Former Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency and an aspirant of the Nasarawa West Senatorial District under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Faisal Shuaib has called on eligible citizens to take advantage of the third phase of the Continuous Voter Registration exercise being conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to enable them participate in electing leaders of their choice in the forthcoming general elections.

Dr. Faisal made the call during a consultative engagement with stakeholders from Nasarawa and Toto Local Government Areas ahead of the party’s primary elections.

Our correspondent gathered that the meeting provided an opportunity for separate interactions with members of the executive and legislative arms of Nasarawa and Toto Local Government Areas, party officials, as well as members of the DFS Consultative Forum as stakeholders reaffirmed their support for the renowned medical sensation’s senatorial ambition, pledging continued loyalty to the APC and Governor Abdullahi Sule.

He explained that the visits became necessary following Governor Sule’s endorsement of Senator Ahmed Wadada as his preferred governorship aspirant, a development which informed his decision to step down his governorship ambition to contest for the Nasarawa West Senatorial seat.

‘Leadership and power come from God. As loyal party members, we must support the decisions of the party and work together for its success.”

” I remain committed to the APC, loyal to Governor Abdullahi Sule, and determined to continue serving the people of Nasarawa West.”

He further called on party stakeholders and supporters to accept recent political developments in good faith, to remain united and intensify grassroots mobilization ahead of the party primaries, assuring the people that, if elected, his representation would focus on youth and women empowerment, improved healthcare delivery, quality education, and other people-oriented programmes aimed at improving the welfare of constituents across Nasarawa West Senatorial District.

The senate aspirant also emphasized the importance of voter registration in strengthening democratic participation and ensuring that citizens exercise their constitutional right to vote.

“Voter registration is a very important civic responsibility. I want to encourage all eligible citizens, especially our young people and women, to come out and register. Your vote remains your voice and your power to determine the future of our communities and the nation at large.”

Speaking at the meetings, former member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Yusuf Omaki, former Chairman of Nasarawa Local Government Council, Abubakar Akum among others corroborated the position of Dr. Shuaib, appealing to supporters and stakeholders to remain patient, united, and committed to the progress of the party.

Some stakeholders who spoke on behalf of participants at the meetings such as APC Chairmen of Nasarawa and Toto local Government Areas, Dahiru Umar Loko and Salihu Umar, among others described Dr. Shuaib’s decision as commendable demonstration of loyalty to the party leadership, pledging their unflinching support and commitment towards mobilizing the grassroots for the senatorial aspirant ahead of both the party primaries and the general elections.
