The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency (KSPWA) says it will complete the conveyance of all Kaduna pilgrims from Madina to Makkah on Friday.

In statement issued on Friday in Madina, Ibraheem Musa, chief press secretary to Uba Sani, the Kaduna governor, said the smooth movement of pilgrims was made possible through early preparations and support for the 2026 hajj exercise.

According to the statement, pilgrims spent the mandatory four days in Madina before being transported to Makkah in batches, with the last group scheduled to depart on Friday.

Musa quoted Abubakar Yusuf, director of operations of KSPWA, as attributing the hitch-free conveyance to Sani’s intervention and support to the agency.

He explained that preparations for the hajj operation started early with weekly sensitisation programmes for intending pilgrims across the state.

“The exercise educated our pilgrims on all aspects of Hajj, the rules of Saudi Arabia and how they should conduct themselves throughout the pilgrimage,” Abubakar was quoted as saying

Abubakar noted that the orientation sessions contributed significantly to the orderly movement and coordination of Kaduna pilgrims in Madina.

He also commended the Kaduna state hajj delegation committee, for providing guidance throughout the pilgrims’ stay in Madina.

Musa said members of the delegation and officials of the pilgrims agency visited a Kaduna pilgrim, Sani Garba, who was hospitalised at Almiqati General Hospital in Madina.

According to the agency, the pilgrim has since been discharged and transported to Makkah on Thursday.

The agency added that Kaduna pilgrims were accommodated in the Misfalah district of Makkah, along Ibrahim Khalil Road, within walking distance of the Masjid al-Haram.
