The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Katsina State, Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita, has mourned the death of the District Head of Sabuwa, Alhaji Ibrahim Bello Kogo, describing his demise as a huge loss to Sabuwa and Katsina State.

This was contained in a press statement issued by the spokesman of the ABK Governorship Campaign Organisation, Abubakar Ahmed.

According to the statement, Senator Babba Kaita led a high-powered delegation of ADC stalwarts, candidates, supporters and well-wishers to Sabuwa town to condole with the family and people of Sabuwa Local Government Area over the recent death of the monarch.

The statement said the delegation was received by the deceased’s eldest son and Yarima of Sabuwa, Alhaji Bello Ibrahim.

“Senator Babba Kaita expressed deep sorrow over the development and prayed to Almighty Allah to accommodate the deceased in Jannatul Firdaus and give the family he left behind the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss,” the statement said.

The ADC governorship candidate, as quoted in the statement, described the late monarch as a good man who dedicated his lifetime and reign to the progress, growth and wellbeing of his people.

“Even from the comments made by people over how the late traditional ruler led his exemplary life, it is understandably clear that he led a pious life that will be cherished and copied by future generations,” Kaita was quoted as saying.

The statement added that Senator Kaita used the opportunity of the visit to pray for Allah’s intervention in bringing a complete end to banditry in the state, especially in the most affected areas including Sabuwa, and the nation in general.

It further stated that responding on behalf of the family, the Yarima of Sabuwa thanked the ADC governorship candidate for finding time to personally lead such a powerful delegation to sympathize with them in their trying period and prayed for Allah to grant the governorship candidate and other candidates their good wishes.

The statement listed other members of the delegation to include the party’s Deputy Governorship candidate, Arc. Aminu Ahmad Yar’adua; Katsina South Senatorial candidate, Sen. Jamilu Mohd Lion; Funtua/Dandume House of Representatives candidate, Hon. Rabilu Musa Dandume; Hon. Barr. U. U. Buhari; Dandume State House of Assembly candidate, Hon. Hamisu Garkuwa; Sabuwa State House of Assembly candidate, Hon. Halima Umar; the ADC State Secretary, other ADC leaders and supporters from the Funtua Zone.
