A support group of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, the Atiku/Amaechi Movement, has vowed to deliver Katsina State for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita in the 2027 presidential and governorship elections respectively.

The group, which said it was formed by like-minds within and outside Nigeria to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in 2027, disclosed that it has expanded and fully established its structures across Katsina State.

The State Coordinator of the movement, Alhaji Sani Abubakar, stated this while addressing executive members of the group drawn from the 34 Local Government Areas of the state at the Ahmad Babba Kaita Gubernatorial Campaign Office in Katsina.

Abubakar announced that to reflect its expanded scope and mandate in the state, the movement would now be known as the Atiku/Amaechi/Kaita Movement.

Speaking while submitting the letter of introduction of the movement to the campaign office, the State Secretary of the group, Alhaji Aliyu Ahmad Kurfi, said the movement is fully on ground in the state.

According to him, the movement has 20 executive members at the state level, 20 executive members in each of the 34 Local Government Areas, one leader per ward and five coordinators per polling unit.

The letter was submitted through a Katsina Central Senatorial aspirant of the ADC, Alhaji Surajo Aminu-Makera.

Responding, Aminu-Makera commended the leadership of the movement for its foresight and organizational capacity, assuring them of the full support and partnership of the ABK Gubernatorial Campaign Office in carrying out its activities across the state.

He urged citizens of Katsina State to continue to rally behind the ADC, expressing optimism that Nigerians would witness better governance under the party with Atiku Abubakar as President and ADC governors in all states of the federation.

He added that the party has continued to receive various support groups and associations ahead of the official kick-off of the presidential campaign on the 19th of this month as released by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
