    Niger constructs  1,000 Classrooms, procures 120,000 Chairs for schools

    The Niger state government under the leadership of Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has reconstructed over 1,000 classrooms, provided 120,000 chairs and tables to various schools across the state.
    This is contained in a statement issued by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Digital Media and Communication, Abdulberqy Usman Ebbo in Minna.
    Ebbo further stated that more than 100 solar-powered boreholes were also provided to improve access to water supply including provision of a numbers of toilet facilities to avoid open defecation in the schools.
    He reiterated the unwavering commitment of the state government to sustain its investment in the educational sector through creation of condusive learning environment and employment of qualify teachers in the state.
    The Special Adviser revealed that he made this findings during his visit and his team to those benefiting schools in both Zone A and Zone B respectively.
    According to Ebbo, the local government areas visited include Bosso, Edati, Gurara, Katcha, Lavun, Mokwa, Munya, Paikoro, and Shiroro Local Government Areas of the state, adding that, ‘the benefiting schools are JSS Birgi and DSS Shata in Bosso, GDSS Rokota and JSS Lenfa-Bororo from Edati,
    JSS Boysarki in Gurara, GGCC Katcha, JSS Edotsu, and Gada Ereigi from Katcha, JSS Chari, GDSS Manbe, and JSS Kutigi in Lavun local councils”.
    Others, he said are DSS Muregi, Gbajibo, Muwo, JSS Tyabo, Dunmi among others from Mokwa, TPD Centre Minna, DSS Guni and JSS Kuchi in Munya, GGSS Kaffin Koro from Paikoro, in addition to
    JSS Gunu, Mutun-Daya, DSS Kpakpma, Gurmana and Pina in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger state.
