The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially declared Malam Muhammad Nami as the Gubernorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Niger State.
INEC, in its official list of approved candidates for the 2027 General Election, released at the weekend, named Nemi as the PDP candidate in Niger state
The Muhammad Nami Media Directorate confirmed this in a press statement on Sunday in Minna
According to the statement, “The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published its final list of gubernatorial candidates for the February 6, 2027 governorship election and listed Mallam Muhammad Nami as the Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Niger State”.

The development has authenticated the candidature of Mallam Muhammad Nami as the Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and clearly shows that he is not affected by the recent Supreme Court judgment obtained by INEC.
” Therefore, all supporters of Muhammad Nami are urged to collect their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) in the ongoing exercise by INEC, to enable them vote for the candidate of the PDP as Governor of Niger State in the 2027 General Elections”, the statement said.
