The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Niger State, Mallam Muhammad Nami, continues to receive blessings from leaders across the state as the gubernatorial race gathers momentum in the “Power State”.
A critical stakeholder and veteran politician, Hon. Umar Mohammed Nasko, Jarman Kontagora, is the latest leader in Niger State to throw his weight behind Nami’s bid for the governor’s seat.
Hon. Nasko pledged his support for Nami when the PDP Governorship Candidate paid him a courtesy visit at the elder statesman’s Abuja home.
The visit by Mallam Nami was part of his ongoing dialogue with the people and leaders of Niger State to listen to them and seek their advice and guidance for a shared vision of restoring Niger State to its leadership position in the North and in Nigeria as a whole.
Hon. Nasko is widely respected as one of the most experienced political figures in Niger State, having contested the governorship in 2015 and 2019.
In his speech during the visit, Mallam Nami described Hon. Nasko as a man of integrity and an encyclopedia whose wealth of experience was invaluable in the forthcoming governorship election in Niger State to rescue it from its current retrogression.
In response, Hon. Nasko warmly welcomed Nami, stressing that he appreciated the PDP governorship candidate’s visit and consultations with him over the governorship election.
Nasko assured Nami of his support in the governorship contest, pledging to continue sharing words of advice with the PDP gubernatorial candidate and to keep Nami in his prayers always.
