Dissecting Political Adviser, Nma Kolo’s Analysis on Political landscape on Nige
    By Lakpene Yusuf Bida,Esq
Indeed Iam happy to have listened to the hausa version of analysis made by the Political Adviser to Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago political matters. Indeed to keep quite in most occassions produces misunderstandings, misconceptions and utter demonstration of ignorance by most people without their fault. It is therefore  imperative to have these coming from the horse’s mouth by shedding more light on three key issues that affects political landscape of the state.
This  interview  granted to DAZA TV by him has touched many unknown facts about the workings of politics of Niger state as it affects APC generally and by extension, Nigerlites.
As the Political Adviser to His Excellency, Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago succitly stated, the issue of zoning is a universal concept that promotes, peace and good understanding as it relates to a particular society.  He  cited the example of Benue state where Governorship always comes from Tiv tribe but everybody would testify to the recurrent instability of that state based upon non application of zoning system. He therefore emphasized that though zoning is not lawed by some political parties in Nigeria, yet it is practiced positively. It is therefore important to allow zoning to be practiced in inorder to keep on with peace in those areas that needed them.
He further went on to give more clarifications that explaining that Farmer Governor has fulfilled his promise on women participation in politics going by the numerous appointments he gave to women folk. He also said that Farmer Governor’s position on the Women to be Vice-Chairperson of the 25 Local Government Area Councils is on course by Allah’s grace.
While on the issue of concensus that has generated negative comments mostly by opposition, the Political Adviser provided a very clear explanations inorder not to dilute the good intention of the APC Stakeholders’ positive intention for progressive Niger state. That Niger state APC Stakeholders at their last meeting agreed on the consensus of Chairmanship position and Councillorship position mainly because of its advantages such as to save costs and others.  More importantly, the Electoral Act 2022 under section 84(1) and (2) allows every political party to chose procedurally from any of these:
     1-Direct primary
      2-Indirect primary
      3-Consensus
to be adopted by them for their best interest. So Niger state APC leaders had decided to go for the third option which is Consensus and the Head of the Party in the State, Farmer Governor made it  known to the public.
Therefore, there is no question of imposition as it was a general agreement of the Party. Other political parties can as well decide to go for any of the three windows the Electoral Act 2022 has provided for their own interest, which could be direct primary, indirect primary or consensus.Whichever suit their party philosophy is allowed.
I believe my good people of Niger state has by now known the true position of things since it has come out from one of the pillars of Stakeholders of APC in the state – the Political Adviser. Do not be allowed to be  deceived by them,  especially with the kind of leadership APC has now, would never do anything to undermine people’s hope and aspirations.
I doff my cap for these analysis by the Political Adviser, Alhaji Nma Kolo.  Please keep coming out from time to time to clear unhealthy dust. The entire APC Stakehokders of Niger state counts on your continued prowess as the Political Adviser, your words would clear many political debrics which would keep away the enemies of progress.Together we shall overpower their antics.
    May we be guided.
