    Bida college old students decry Almamater’s  declining academic performance

    The Bida Old Students Association ( BOSA) has decried the declining academic performance of its almamater , the Bida Government College in Niger state.
    The National President of the association, Major General Abdulmalik Halidu Giwa (Rtd) stated this while inaugurating BOSA standing committees in Minna at the weekend.
    He listed the decay of infrastructure, declining academic performance, limited students  exposure to technology, and dwindling career growth of old students as some of the challenges facing the Government College Bida in Niger State.
    Major General Abdulmalik Giwa who is also  the Taimakon Nupe  said BOSA cannot fold its arms and watch these challenges erode the proud legacy of the school.
    Represented by the First National Vice President of the association, Alhaji Muhammadu Agwai, General Giwa said, “our members represent extraordinary reservoir of human and intellectual capacity. I  am confident that the BOSA will be able to overcome these  challenges through alignment of vision, synergy and structured actions”.
    He explained that the association had organised a retreat for its National Executive Committee ( NEC) aimed at
    sharing vision, synergy and capacity building.
    He said, “I am confident that BOSA with over eight  thousand members worldwide can generate eighty million naira yearly to ffinance it’s projects in the college effectively”.
    Also speaking, a member of BOSA  Board of Trustees, Alhaji Abubakar Dogo charged the members to make meaningful contributions to achieve set objectives of the association.
    The Committees inaugurated included Business and revenue generation, mentorship and career development, Doctrine and Founders vision as well as Automation and digitalization.
