All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Nasarawa North senatorial district, have thrown their weight behind the second term bid of President Bola Tinubu.

The stakeholders also called on Governor Abdullahi Sule to represent the zone as a Senator in the National Assembly in 2027.

The position is contained in communique issued at the end of the stakeholders meeting in Akwanga, the headquarters of the zone.

In a communique read by a former Secretary to the Government of the State, Timothy Anjide, the APC stakeholders pledged to continue to support policies and initiatives aimed at improving the livelihoods of residents of the zone, the state and country at large.

The stakeholders said going by the massive development the zone has enjoyed under the current administration in the state, it is imperative that Governor Sule should be prevailed upon to represent it in 2027.

They commended President Tinubu for appointing sons and daughters from Nasarawa North into strategic positions in Federal agencies, boards and parastatals.

“The Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress, Nasarawa North Senatorial District, met in a critical session to deliberate on pressing issues concerning the party, the government, and the future of the district.

“The meeting was well attended by the key Stakeholders of the APC in the Northern Senatorial District. After extensive and fruitful deliberations, the meeting resolved as follows: The meeting acknowledged and appreciated the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for appointing Son’s and Daughters of Nasarawa North Senatorial district into strategic positions in Federal Agencies, Boards, and Parastatals.

“In recognition of his vision, leadership, and developmental focus, the Stakeholders unanimously endorsed Mr. President for a second term in office.

“The Stakeholders deeply appreciates His Excellency for his unwavering commitment to inclusive governance, impactful developmental strides, and consistent support for the APC family in the district.

“A unanimous vote of confidence was passed on His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, FNSE, with strong call and appeal to His Excellency to represent Nasarawa North in the Senate come 2027.

“The Stakeholders resolved to work in unity and solidarity to strengthen the APC across all units, wards and Local Government Areas within the Senatorial District. The meeting emphasised discipline, inclusion, and grassroots mobilisation.

“The Stakeholders pledged to continue supporting policies and initiatives aimed at uplifting communities, empowering the youth and women, and ensuring sustained development in the Senatorial District,” the communique reads.

Anjide said the meeting ended on a note of renewed hope, shared vision, and collective responsibility to uphold the ideals and objectives of the APC in Nasarawa North and beyond.

Speaking with Journalists shortly after the Nasarawa North APC stakeholders meeting, the Chairman of Akwanga LGA and State Chairman of the Association of Local Governments Of Nigeria, Hon. Safiyanu Isa Andaha said the meeting was also meant to discuss the way forward for the party and its members in the zone.

He said, “There was a unanimous agreement that His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi Sule should contest for Senate during the 2027 general election. I am optimistic that my Governor being a democrat, will listen to the voices of his people and answer our call.

“Apart from the endorsements of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sule for the 2027 elections, another purpose of the meeting was for the unity of the party. We talked to ourselves that for the interest of the party, we must keep all grievances aside and work together as a people.”
