The Yobe State chapter of Jama’atu Nasrul Islam JNI has presented a merit award to the state’s most revered governorship aspirant, Kashim Musa Tumsah MFR in recognition of his public spirited interventions in the state.

The award, according to Abubakar Ahmed, KMT Campaign Organization, spokesman, was presented at a ceremony which held at the headquarters of the Yobe First Movement YFM, an all comers political movement in the state which is now strongly behind KMT’s governorship aspiration.

While presenting the award, the state Secretary General of Yobe’s NAG/JNI, Malam Dauda Umar Kalli explained that although the JNI rarely gives awards to individuals, it found Kashim Musa Tumsah’s interventions to communities, organisations and individuals worthy of any high award that can be offered.

“This great son of Yobe State has done to all parts of the state what no single person in or out of government has personally done in the history of the state.

“This is the kind of leaders we want and pray Allah to give us, who we believe and trust will put in their best in lifting our standard of living through the provision of various avenues for sustainable growth.

“The JNI is giving this merit award to him as our own little way of saying thank you, encourage you not to relent in the good ways and also to pray to Allah to continue to guide, provide for and protect you,”the statement quoted the state secretary of JNI to have said.

Receiving the award on behalf of the development advocate and governorship aspirant, Kashim Musa Tumsah, the Director-General of Yobe First Movement, Crd. Lawan M. Ibrahim thanked the JNI leadership for the recognition and award to KMT.

The DG who traced the KMT intervention efforts back to over 30 years noted that “our movement was also attracted to these interventions which is why we decided to insist he joined the governorship race of the Yobe state in 2027.

“We have seriously mobilised people of Yobe while many others joined in the support due to the benefits they derived from KMT in their various communities.

“At the moment, YFM has structures in all our wards and local government areas with thousands of registered members who are actively engaging citizens to realise the drivable benefits Yobe State stands to gain if Kashim Musa Tumsah becomes our next governor and we are confident we will emerge victorious by the special grace of God, ” he said.

The DG then assured to always approach the JNI for advice on how to further advance the KMT project for the betterment of Yobe State.

The event was well attended by hundreds of KMT admirers and well wishers.
