Kashim Musa Tumsah MFR, Yobe State governorship hopeful in the coming 2027 general elections has so far provided nutritious meals to over 200,000 residents of the state in the first half (15 days) of this year’s Ramadan fast.

The Ramadan feeding programme and welfare are part of KMT’s annual gesture extended to especially the needy, orphans and even some households for them to break the daily Ramadan fast with relative ease, peace of mind and comfort.

The figure was obtained as an estimate from the designated KMT Ramadan Feeding centres and mobile feeding scheme spread throughout the three Senatorial zones of the state.

A new innovation was also introduced into this year’s feeding programme, whereby some teams carry to Sangaya based Qur’anic schools, the elderly and people who reside far from the designated feeding centres so that they can also benefit.

As a development advocate, KMT as he is popularly known, has for decades, intervened in many aspects of human growth and development including education, economy, healthcare, provision of solar powered boreholes for safe and clean water, solar-powered street lights, rural feeder roads as well as women and youths empowerment schemes complementing government efforts and challenging political office holders to use their respective offices and positions in order to bring the much needed dividends of democracy to the state.

Although KMT has never held political or public office in the state, his human development interventions over the years have made Yobe state people to drag him into the state’s governorship race and made him the most popular aspirant in the APC and throughout other political parties in the NorthEast state of Yobe.

His ever multiplying supporters are largely behind the increased voters registration exercise and APC’s full membership e-registration programme through several and aggressively staged forms of voters education and enlightenment campaigns covering all nooks and crannies of the state.
