A group of youth organisations under the auspices of Forum 36 Leadership and Stakeholders have urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to name former Zamfara State Governor Senator Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari as his campaign director general (DG) for the 2027 presidential election.

This is contained in a communique of a strategic meeting of the forum jointly signed by Comrade Oluyemi Olusina
National President, Forum 36 Leadership and Stakeholders and Munir Abdulrahman
National Secretary, Forum 36 Leadership and Stakeholders.

The meeting was tagged “Youth Consultative Meeting on National Development and the 2027 Presidential Project”.

It was held under the leadership of Comrade Oluyemi Olusina, in collaboration with youth stakeholders and progressive advocates across Nigeria, to deliberate on the future of youth participation in governance, national unity, and the consolidation of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

After extensive deliberations, the forum in their resolution commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment toward national development, democratic stability, youth inclusion, and ongoing reforms aimed at repositioning Nigeria for sustainable growth.

The forum acknowledged the importance of strategic leadership and effective political coordination ahead of the 2027 presidential election, stressing the need for competent and experienced individuals capable of mobilizing support across the country.

“The youth body unanimously expressed confidence in Senator Abdul Azeez Yari Abubakar (Marafan Sokoto) as a patriotic and committed political figure whose leadership qualities, national acceptance, and strong grassroots connections make him suitable for greater national responsibility.

“The forum therefore respectfully called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consider Senator Abubakar Yari for the position of Director-General for the 2027 Presidential Campaign Project,” the communique said.

The meeting noted that Senator Abdulaziz Yari possesses exceptional leadership capacity, political experience, and wide-reaching relationships that cut across ethnic, religious, and socio-political divides in Nigeria.

The youth group further emphasized that national unity, inclusiveness, competence, and loyalty should remain key considerations in the selection of individuals entrusted with sensitive political responsibilities.

Forum 36 reaffirmed its commitment to peaceful democratic engagement, youth mobilization, voter education, and constructive participation in strengthening Nigeria’s democracy.

The meeting concluded with a collective appeal to Nigerian youths to remain united, law-abiding, and actively involved in nation-building processes for the progress and stability of the country.
