The Islamic Affairs wing of the City Boy Movement on Friday began its ‘door to door’ campaign at the Muslim community in Karu Village, Abuja.
The team which started its campaign from outside the Emir’s Palace, later spread the crusade to other residential areas, Mosques and Islamic learning centres in the community.
City Boys Movement’s National Deputy Director (Islamic Affairs), Hajia Amina Suleiman, who led the team, distributed foodstuff to members of the community and urged them to come out in large numbers to vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to sustain his ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ which she said is already transforming the country’s economy for the better.
She said the City Boys Movement’s mission to the community was to engage, inform and empower residents and advised them to register with the movement in order to benefit from their empowerment programmes.
Hajia Suleiman called on the residents to embark on ‘door to door’ campaigns in their community to enlighten more residents of the numerous advantages shown so far by President Tinubu’s economic reforms and advised them to ensure that their permanent voter cards were ready to vote for the All Progressives Congress in the 2027 elections.
While distributing food items at an Islamic Learning Centre, Hajia Suleiman told members and officials of the centre to cooperate with the City Boy Movement so that they can be included in the movement’s empowerment programmes when it gets to Karu community.
Responding, the centre’s Imam, Alhaji Jafaru, welcomed members of the movement and thanked them for their gesture.
He said the centre was willing to work along with the movement and urged the leaders to carry them along with their empowerment programmes.
