A Minna based house wife, Safiya Tukur has reportedly inflicted deep cut on her husband’s manhood during a scuffle at home in Kpagungu area of Minna, Niger state.
The couple are said to be residing in Darusalam area of Kpagungu from where the incident occurred after midnight on October 10, 2026.
The Police Public Relations Officer PPRO of the Niger state police command, SP Wasiu Abiodun confirmed the incident on Friday, adding that the victim is recovering in hospital while the wife has been charged to court.
He said, “On 15/10/2026 at about 1pm, a complaint was received at Kpakungu Div that on the same date at about 10a.m, a victim residing at Darusalam area of Kpakungu had a misunderstanding with his wife, one Safiya Tukur, 28yrs of the same address, which led to a fight and in the process, she used a sharp object to inflict a deep cut on the manhood of her husband, the victim”.
” During interrogation, she confessed to inflicting the injury on the husband during the fight. She had been charged to court for prosecution and she was remanded, while the trial continued”
In a related development, the police have rescued two abducted children and recovered a stolen vehicle in Suleja area of Niger state.
The children aged 8 years and 12 years were said to have been left in the vehicle by their father who rushed into a nearby shop to do photocopy of documents.
On his return to the spot, he discovered that the vehicle and the children had disappeared, as a result of which he lodged complaint at the Maje police station.
