* Affirms Shehu Agaie Niger state leader

The African Democratic Congress ( ADC) has drastically reduced nomination fees for all positions for its forthcoming congress at the state, local government and ward levels to enable inclusive contest by aspirants.
The National Treasurer of the party Dr Ibrahim Mani stated this while updating party stakeholders in Minna on the decisions of the national leadership of the party .
He said, ” the cost of nomination forms for ward chairman was reviewed from N30, 000 to N10,000, while that of Secretary was dropped to N7,000 from N25, 000 and other officers will now pay NN3, 000 instead of N10, 000″.
According to him, the party’s local government Chairmanship nomination form is now N40,000 as against N250, 000, Secretary was slashed to N30, 000 from N200,000 while other positions were reduced to N10,000 from N100,000. He explained that fees nomination forms at the state level have also be reduced by 50% adding that, ” for instance State Chairmanship form is now N500,000 as against the initial one million naira cost”.
Mini said the reduction in cost of nomination forms did not however apply to the national positions.
Meanwhile the ADC has elected former Member of House of Representatives, Baba Shehu Agaie as the leader of the party in Niger state.
He was elected at the party’s stakeholders meeting in Minna on Tuesday following his nomination by a party stalwart, MaiBasira and a voice vote.
The stakeholders also affirmed the nomination of Alhaji Umar Shuaibu as the Chairman of the Niger State leadership Coordinating Committee, Sadiq Adamu Lafu as his Deputy while Mohammed Nazil Mohammed will serve as the secretary of the committee.
