    Niger State Governor,  Mohammed Umaru Bago has called on Muslims and Nigerians to remain steadfast in prayers for the overall peace and development of the country.
    The farmer governor stated this after observing the two -Unit congregational prayers at the Central Eid prayer ground, Minna in marking this year’s Eid-el- Kabir.
    Also at the Central Eid prayer ground, former head of state, General Abdulsalami Abubakar Rtd  congratulated the muslim ummah the world over for the Eid-el-Kabir festival while on Nigerians to pray that Allah continues to bring peace and prosperity to the Nation .
    Bago congratulated all Muslims and called on them to reflect on themselves by moving closer to Allah in worship and seek forgiveness.
    He stressed on the significance of Eid prayers saying, “it provides a platform where people from all walks of life converge and offer prayers , adding that, ” I remain hopeful of a brighter future for the country”.
    ” I therefore call on Nigerians to remain patient with the government as it is working relentlessly for the betterment of the citizenry”..
    He urged Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of love and togetherness and be advocates of peace anywhere they are.
    The deputy Imam, Minna Central Mosque, Malam Habibu Abubakar Maibasira had earlier led worshippers in the two-unit congregational Eid prayer followed by a sermon which focused on the need for Muslims to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice and obedience to Allah.
