The Niger-South Senior Stakeholders’ Forum (NSSF) has donated N3 million to support victims affected by the floods that ravaged the Mokwa community in Niger State.

Chairman of the forum, Alhaji Ibrahim Liman (Wazirin Baron, Zannan Again) announced this after the forum’s delegation visited Mokwa community, yesterday.

Liman extended the forum’s deepest condolences to the Governor of Niger State, Mohammed Umar Bago, Etsu Nupe, Alhaji (Dr) Yahya Abubakar, Chairman of Mokwa Local Government Council, Abdullahi Muregi, Ndalile of Mokwa, Alhaji Mohammed Shaba, and the bereaved families.

He said: “The NSSF stands in solidarity with the government and people of Mokwa during this difficult time and prays for the eternal rest of the departed souls and comfort for the bereaved families.

The forum is committed to supporting the affected communities and has donated N3,000,000.00 (Three Million Naira) to provide relief and support. We are ready to collaborate with the government, traditional institutions and other stakeholders to mitigate the effects of the disaster.

“We stand ready to support the people of Mokwa and work together to rebuild and restore the affected communities.”

The NSSF chairman urges all stakeholders to join hands in providing support and relief to the affected communities.

Over 200 lives were lost and thousands displaced in the tragic flood disaster that occurred in Mokwa community on May 30.
