According to the Speaker who is also the convener of the event, ” the security summit has become imperative due to concern over frequent banditry attacks in the six local government areas in the emirate. This has made lives miserable for the people, particularly farmers who have been forced to abandon their farms and homes”.

While the security agents battle to curtail the onslaught by these enemies of the people, the situation has escalated in recent times”.

He explained that esteemed sons and daughters of Kontagora emirate, can no longer fold their hands and allow these “animals” disguising as human beings continue to kill our people, our security agents and make lives meaningless for the entire population”.
According to him, all serving and former members of the National Assembly and state House of Assembly, political appointees, Chairmen of the six affected local government areas and senior security officers from the emirate are expected to participate in the summit
