    Progressive Governors lauds Tinibu for strengthening security, infrastructures

    The Progressive Governors’ Forum has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for strengthening the security architecture and the infrastructural development of the country.

     

    The Governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress APC gave the commendation during a sympathy visit to Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger state in Minna on Monday.

     

    The Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Imo state, Hope Uzodima said that the Progressive Governors are committed to ensure that dividends of democracy get to the people of their various states.

     

    “We want to thank President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for strengthening the security architecture of Nigeria, his commitment to infrastructural renewal and his human capacity development”, he said.

     

    According to him, “we at the sub-national level will also key into these ideals to provide good governance and dividends of democracy to our people in our various states”.

     

    Uzodima said that the Governors were in condolence visit to their Niger state counterpart over recent disasters and tragedies which occurred in the state including the tanker explosion in which many lives were lost.

     

    In a response, Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger state expressed appreciation to his colleagues for the visit and commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his timely support to Niger state at every point of need.

     

    Governors present for the visit include those of Lagos, Imo, Ekiti, Ebonyi, Delta, Kogi while
    Jigawa, Sokoto and Kebbi states were represented by their Deputy Governors
