* Ex Rep members, Muktar Ahmed, Shehu Agaie secure Senatorial tickets

Former Director of Urban Development, Ministry of Works and Housing, Dr Mohammed Kpautagi Mohammed has won the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship ticket for 2027 general election in Niger state.
The State Returning Officer and Secretary ADC Primary Election Committee, Ibrahim Mohammed announced the official results of the party’s governorship primary election in Minna on Tuesday.
Mohammed also announced the results into the state Senatorial Districts, House of Representatives and thebNiger state House of Assembly.
According to him, “Dr. Mohammed Kpautagi Mohammed scored a total of 67,924 while his counterpart Alhaji Idris Usman had 27,769 across the 25 local government areas of the state”.
In the contest for senatorial seats of the party, Alhaji Shehu Mohammed, won the ticket for Niger North Senatorial District,
while former Rep member Muktar Ahmed was returned unopposed for Niger East Senatorial District. Also Alhaji Baba Shehu Agaie former deputy leader of the House of Representatives was declared the winner of the Niger South senatorial district also known as Zone A.
Similarly, the Niger state federal House of Representative winners of the ADC primary elections were: Bida/Gbako/ Katcha, Mohammed Abubakar, Tafa/Gurara/ Suleja, Ado K. Abubakar,
Mashegu/wushishi/kontagora/mariga Mohammed Ibrahim Abubakar, Lavun/Edati/Mokwa, Abubakar M. Takuma,
Others include Magama/Rijau- Mohammed Nazir Abdullahi, Lapai/Agaie – Shitu Adamu Evuti, Agwara/Bargu – Jailani Inuwa, Chanchaga – Doctor Alhaji Mohammed, Bosso/Paikoro – Abdulmali Kabir and Shiroro/Munya/Rafi- Ismaila Ibrahim.
