The organisers of Miss 9ja have opened applications for the 2027 edition of the pageant, calling on aspiring contestants from the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory to compete for the coveted crown and a total prize package worth ₦13m.

The Chief Executive Officer of Miss 9ja, Mrs Adenike Isi Adeeko, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists in Abuja on Wednesday.

She described Miss 9ja as more than a beauty pageant, saying it is a platform that celebrates the beauty, intelligence, culture and aspirations of young Nigerian women while creating opportunities for leadership, empowerment and national impact.

According to her, participation has been made accessible to all, as applications for Miss 9ja are completely free.

She explained that there are no registration fees, hidden charges or payments required at any stage of the application process.

Adeeko also announced that voting throughout the competition would be free, noting that the arrangement was designed to encourage genuine public participation and ensure every contestant has an equal opportunity to succeed based on merit, personality and public appeal.

She said the organisers were inviting bold, authentic and purpose-driven women who are ready to represent their states and share their unique stories on the national stage.

Interested applicants, she added, can obtain and complete their application forms through the official Miss 9ja website.

She said the journey to the crown begins with a single step and would culminate in the emergence of Miss 9ja 2027.

The winner will receive the official Miss 9ja crown, a signature gold ring, a ₦10m grand prize and the honour of becoming Nigeria’s People’s Choice.

The first runner-up will receive ₦2m, while the second runner-up will go home with ₦1m, bringing the total prize package to ₦13m.

The organisers reiterated that applications are open, entry is free and voting is free, urging eligible contestants to participate with the slogan: “Be Bold. Be Authentic. Be the Next Miss 9ja.”
