    By Oboh Linus, Lafia

The Nasarawa North Senatorial aspirant for the forthcoming Bye-election on the platform of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Arch. Duba Ishaya-Dodo has promised to prioritise women and youth empowerment, and infrastructural development.

Arch. Ishaya-Dodo stated this while speaking with newsmen in Lafia.

According to him, the desire to contest for the Nasarawa North Senatorial Seat is based on his desire to serve the people of the zone.

Ishaya-Dodo said that he has the capacity and competence to effectively represent the people of Nasarawa North Senatorial District.

Explained that given the importance attached to the zone, he would bring on board innovative ideas aimed at fast-tracking development in the Senatorial District.

“I am going to bring a lot of things on board, mine is all about service, people-centred representation, women and youth empowerment.
Generally, NDC is about service to the people, we are not just singing songs,” he said.

Ishaya-Dodo, while urging electorates to be open to new ideas, said the NDC was the only party that had the capacity to save Nigeria from drowning.

“So, I will advise every electorate not to sell their vote; they shouldn’t go for fake promises by the ruling party.

“We’ve allowed them to show us what they have but they have nothing to offer.

“Nigeria is not working, and NDC is here to fix Nigeria. So I advise electorates to team up with the NDC to fix Nigeria. Let’s bring Nigeria back to those old days where we refer to our fallen heroes,” he said.
