A founding member and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger state , Jonathan Vatsa has resigned from the party citing poor performances of the Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago administration
Vatsa stated this on Monday while giving reasons for his resignation from the party in a press briefing in Minna.
He explained that the bad governance by the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration of Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago in Niger state is alarming with nothing to show in the past three and half years.
A founding member and chieftain of the party stated this on Monday while giving reasons for his resignation from the party in a press briefing in Minna.
He said, “beyond that, as a pioneer member of APC, I cannot look those who elected us in 2015 in the face and boldly point to any meaningful projects initiated in the state under the APC government”.
According to him, the party has lost direction to the extent of which it leaders are now recruiting political liabilities, the same set of people who were accused of destroying the country in 2015, to come and help them in winning 2027 elections.
He said that it is on record that the administration received the highest allocation from FAAC and obtained the highest loans since 1999 but parading the highest numbers of uncompleted projects scattered across the state.
He argued that the New Niger slogan by the administration is a deceit and sharp contrast to realities on ground in the state.
He insisted that the APC administration has derailed completely adding that the party has brazenly turned itself into a sanctuary for the corrupt and machine for rigging and a rape on democracy.
