    Jafaru federal lawmaker survives bandits attack in Niger

    Military repelled attack

    The member representing Borgu and Agwara Federal Constituency, Honourable Jafaru Mohammed Ali has reportedly been attacked by bandits in Niger state but survived having been whisked away by gallant security.
    The lawmaker was said to have been attacked Tuesday at a village called Kuble, along Agwara-Babana road at 1:00pm.
    It was learnt that security personnel attached to him were seriously injured during the attack.
    It was gathered that the lawmaker however survived the attack adding that he is receiving treatment in hospital.
    Acoording to the source; “bandits attacked member House of Representatives, representing Borgu and Agwara federal constituency Hon. Jafaru Mohammed Ali this morning on his way to engage his constituents on critical developmental projects he intend to bring for the benefits of the area”.
    “However, the member and his entourage are currently receiving treatment”, he said.

    It was learnt that the timely intervention of the military and other security personnel repelled the bandits.

     “More military have been mobilized to move them out of the dangerous zone”, a source said.
